Hopscotch Nursery operates 48 weeks a year
(We close 2 weeks at Christmas and the last 2 weeks of August).
For children currently attending on a term-time only contract please refer to the dates below. Please note if your child attends all year (48 weeks), then these dates apply only for the funding periods, we continue to operate for 48 weeks, but parents/carers must fee-pay the additional 10 weeks per year as these are not covered by funding. This will be outlined for you in your individual contract and monthly invoice.

Half Term: Monday 27th – Friday 31st October

Spring Term 2026
Monday 5th January – Thursday 26th March 2026
Half Term: Monday 16th – Friday 20th February
(11 weeks)
Summer Term 2026
Monday 13th April – Thursday 16th July 2026
Half Term: Monday 25th May – Friday 29th May
(13 weeks in Term)
For all other children (attending 48 weeks a year), we are closed on the following dates:
Christmas Closure Dates
Monday 22nd December 2025 - Thursday 1st January 2026
(last day of term is: Thursday 18th December 2025, and we return Monday 5th January 2026)
(Closed for 2 weeks)
Summer Closure Dates
Monday 17th August - Monday 31st August 2026
(last day is: Thursday 13th August, returning Tuesday 1st September 2026)
Please note Monday 31st August is a bank holiday.
