Autumn Term 2024


Wednesday 4th September – Thursday 19th December 2024

Half Term: Monday 28th October – Friday 1st November 2024

(14 weeks, 2 days in Term)


Spring Term 2025


Monday 6th January – Thursday 3rd April 2025

Half Term: Monday 17th – Friday 21st February 2025

(11 week, 4 days in Term)

Summer Term 2025


Tuesday 22nd April – Thursday 17th July 2025

Half Term: Monday 26th May – Friday 30th May 2025

(11 weeks, 2 days in Term)


All Year Children 2024 – 2025

*For Children attending on an all year basis the nursery is only closed for 2 weeks at Christmas and the LAST 2 weeks of August. We are also closed on bank holidays but charges still apply.* 


*For Children who attend on an all-year basis (48 weeks a year)

(Re-open Monday 1st Sep ’25)

How the Term-time funding works at Hopscotch:

  • Up to 15 hours of the UNIVERSAL funding can be claimed during term-time (3 hours per day, Monday – Friday, 38 weeks a year).


  • Up to 30 hours of Universal AND Extended funding can be claimed during term-time (6 hours per day, Monday – Friday, 38 weeks per year).

For children on 50 week contracts:

We close only for 2 weeks at Christmas.


For Christmas 2021 we will be closed from: Friday 17th December 2021 - Monday 3rd January 2022 (Bank Holiday)


We return on Tuesday 4th January 2022


During bank holidays we are not open but charges still apply.

How stretched funding works (50 weeks) a year at Hopscotch

  • Up to 22.5 hours of funding can be claimed per week during the 50 weeks we are open (4.5 hours per day, Monday – Friday).


  • For those eligible for either the universal or FEET funding, you can claim up to 2.25 hours of funding per day, (Monday – Friday), during the 50 weeks we are open.


  • For those eligible for the universal AND extended funding, you can claim up to 4.5 hours of funding per day, (Monday – Friday), during the 47 weeks we are open




  • We are not open on bank holidays.
